DAS in Commodity Trading

Presenting the Diploma of Advanced Studies

Dedicated to employees having already several years of experience within commodity trading or related services, this programme can also provide the opportunity to change business direction for professionals active in other sectors.

The credits obtained by this certificate will be valid for a further MBA (Bologna compatible).

Teaching format

This program has been created by GSEM Executive, University of Geneva and SUISSENÉGOCE. SUISSENÉGOCE represents some of the most important trading companies in the world. The lectures will be given by well known professors and experts in the trading field.

The Diploma consists of 11 modules of 24 hours each and 1 module Trading Game of 24 hours.

This program is offered in 2 formats:

• Bi-weekly Format for professionals living in Switzerland and around.

Courses take place on every other Friday afternoon and Saturday morning and sometimes 3 days in a row: Thursday, Friday Saturday. Each module is subject to an evaluation and the participants must attend all classes.

• International Format for professionals living abroad:

University of Geneva Executive MBA now offers a Trading EMBA program. This format consists of 3 blocks of 3 modules taking place in Geneva combined with 3 virtual modules per year. More information

For each hour of instruction, 2 hours of reading, preparation, case studies and homework are required. Both programs are in English.

Schedule :
Bi-weekly Friday afternoons and Saturday morning:
Fridays from 2.15 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
