Switzerland has a solid experience in training apprentices with a dual mode structure: school days at the "Ecole de Commerce" and working days within an employer. To which can be added additional courses dedicated to a specific sector. Just as the banks do since many years with great success.
Since 2013, the canton of Geneva proposes a bilingual (French / English) Federal Vocational Education and Training (VET), characterised by a professional practice within an English-speaking private firm and by some school lessons taught in English.
VET links theory and practice and emphasizes companies’ commitment in favour of the next generation of skilled workers.
SUISSENÉGOCE is considering organising inter-company training courses to complete the VET and train future operators, middle officers and/or junior accountants.
