Olivier Thyssen is the Head of Credit and Project Management for Global Commodity Finance at Banque Cantonale de Genève. For the last 15 years, Olivier has been overseeing the credit and transactions of a large portfolio of companies trading energy, metals and agricultural commodities. Olivier built the foundations of his career in an international audit firm, with a strong focus on the shipping and trading industries, as well as on the trading floor of a major energy trading company. With more than two decades of involvement in the industry, Olivier has developed an recognized expertise in commodity trade finance and sustainability in commodities. Aside from teaching with SuisseNégoce, he is a teacher for commodity trade finance and sustainability at University of Geneva, Haute Ecole de Gestion, and a member of the scientific committee for the DAS in Commodity Trading at University of Geneva.
