Risk Global Business Process Owner
Ameropa

Benjamin BAPTISTE is currently Risk Process Owner for Ameropa and is mainly based in Lausanne.

After short experiences in the banking sector (BNP Paribas) and the software industry (Murex), he started his career in the commodity world 13 years ago within Roquette (a global leader in plant-based ingredients and a pioneer of new vegetal proteins with worldwide presence and important commodities exposure), first in a Front office position inside Treasury and moved quickly to the Risk Function.

He has extensive knowledge of markets on the main assets including FX, Fixed Income and mostly Commodities (Grains, Fertilizers, Energy, Carbon and Metals) and on the front to back processes associated (risk and control).

As Head of Risk at Roquette, he built the Financial Risk & Control function from scratch to support the group business, including the new activities implemented in Geneva (Trading arm and unique markets interface of the group)

He moved recently to Ameropa to represent the risk function (Market, Credit, Operational risks) for all regions and commodities (Grains and Fertilizers mainly) across the Trade to Cash Value Chain inside of a key transformation program

He has been speaker several years in a row in international commodity risk events such as Commodity Trading Week in London.
